Established by Gausuta Anjali Ji, the foundation was created with the sole mission of rescuing and caring for injured and abandoned cows left to struggle on the streets. Prior to dedicating himself to this noble cause, Gausuta Anjali Ji ran his own successful construction business. So, what motivated him to leave that path and embark on this journey? It was his deep compassion for these vulnerable animals, driving him to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
shares Gausuta Anjali Ji, founder of Manu Shatrupa Foundation. He reflects on his visits to numerous Gaushalas that were doing commendable work caring for cows and Nandis, but he noticed a lack of fully-equipped hospitals for injured and sick animals.
Gausuta Anjali JI, Founder, Manu Shatrupa Foundation further shares “I have always felt a strong desire to contribute to their well-being. When my grandmother expressed her last wish for me to care for these innocent animals, I knew this was my calling. These cows are like mothers to us, and it is truly heartbreaking to witness their suffering.”
Gausuta Anjali Ji speaks about the horrific cruelties these animals endure, including instances where acid is thrown on cows or their sheds are intentionally set on fire. On a daily basis, the foundation receives numerous rescue calls, all of which are responded to without fail. Anjali Ji also highlights that the number of accident cases tends to rise during the rainy season, further increasing the need for urgent care and attention.
“We operate a fleet of ambulances and have a dedicated team of veterinary doctors who work tirelessly to ensure these cows live a comfortable life. Over the years, we have performed countless surgeries, including C-sections, hernia removals, horn cancer treatments, amputations, and the removal of foreign objects such as iron and plastic from the cows' stomachs. Our well-equipped operation theatre, along with advanced X-ray and ultrasound machines, allows us to provide the highest level of care for these animals.”
Over the years, Manu Shatrupa Foundation has rescued and provided medical care to numerous cows, as well as other animals such as peacocks, monkeys, and nilgais in need. The foundation serves as a safe haven for many cows, many of which are paralyzed and require ongoing care. These cows, unable to survive on the streets, are cared for by our dedicated team, who work tirelessly to ensure they live in comfort and dignity.
“We have been fortunate to receive continued support and generous donations from our well-wishers. However, the demand for assistance is growing rapidly. Each day, more injured cows are left stranded on the streets, with no one to care for them. Our goal is to help every one of these animals. My vision is to provide the highest standard of care and facilities for these injured animals, and to achieve this, we humbly seek your continued support.”
